About

My name is Dong Hee Lee (given name: Dong Hee , family name: Lee). I am a master of science in Biomedical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. I joined the Computational Cognitive Affective Neuroscience Lab led by Dr. Choong-Wan Woo as a research assistant and a lab manager 2019 spring. I obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in Consumer & Family Sciences and Data Science and a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. My research goal is to better understand mechanisms of pain and mental health. I have focused on investigating neural processes underlying the experience of pain through functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Also, I am interested in developing a novel and mechanism-oriented treatment approach for chronic pain management based upon the relationship between pain perception and cognition. Currently, I am working on a project about benchmarking analysis of predictive models for pain outcomes with machine learning techniques using fMRI images.
